Description

"The Recon shoots out a deployable beacon which adds nearby targets into SIN. In addition, affected targets become Vulnerable, increasing damage taken. Stores as many charges as maximum beacons allowed"


SIN Beacon is a Recon ability that fires a beacon in a straight line. When the beacon hits an object, it puts enemies near it into SIN. Scanned enemies become visible through walls and have the Vulnerable effect applied to them, causing them to take increased damage from all sources. SIN beacon has multiple charges, and multiple beacons can be deployed at the same time. If an enemy is within the range of two beacons, the Vulnerable effect does not stack. If an enemy exits the beacon's area of effect, they remain detected and vulnerable for a small period of time.


Prefixes & Modules

SIN Beacon can come with the Barrage, Blitz, Charged, Cooled, Deployment, Disruption, Distant, Lasting, and Potent Prefix. Strangely, SIN Beacon never has the Custom modifier.

Modules that modify Recharge, AoE, Max Deployment, Potency, and Duration should be used for best effect.

SIN beacons count as deployables, but they can only be destroyed by drop pods and incoming thumpers.
