Perks are special passives that can be equipped on any battleframe (excluding the frame exclusive perks). They come in four levels: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Master, corresponding to milestones of each battleframe's progression, as the majority of perks are rewarded for progression. This gives a total of 80 unlockable perks, from 16 battleframes with 1 perk that come with the unlocking of the frame, and 4 more perks gained while leveling that individual battleframe. Additionally there are 8 Basic perks available to all players from the start and several from an achievements or events, like Scourge of the Chosen* and Agile.
Perk points are gained at level 10, 14, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28-39, and 2 at level 40. A maximum of 21 perk points can be gained.
Equipping perks requires that you have sufficient perk points available for each battleframe. Equipping Basic perks has a cost of 1 point, Intermediate perks cost 2 points, Advanced 5 points, and Master 8 points. A maximum of 10 separate perks may be equipped at once or a total use of all 21 perk points whichever comes first.
Perks are accessed by clicking on the Perk tab while in the Battleframe Garage. From that screen, Perks can be added to player's character by drag-n-drop where the Perk screen will add up the total amount of Perk Points used and number of Perks out of 10 that are also used up to that point.
Perks will not be active until player clicks on the Lock-in Perk button.
Perks can be changed after they become locked-in and active by using the Respec button. Respec can be purchased for 1 Red Beans each by clicking Respec button and then Purchase button.
Note: hover the mouse over the perk icons to display perk descriptions.
