New dynamic encounter that spawns throughout the world in one of a few formats. Codename: Crossfire started on Friday, September 19th at 5:00pm PDT and runs until Monday, October 6th at 5:00pm PDT. After October 6th, “Crossfire” will be added to the regular rotation of dynamic events (minus the stretch goals).

During this event, the Crossfire encounter spawns randomly throughout New Eden and Devil’s Tusk.


The encounter has two basic types which can spawn, and each of the types varies slightly depending on where they spawn. In the first type, the player comes across a firefight between Chosen Forces and another hostile force which may be the Ophanim or one of the various Bandit gangs, depending on where the player is. In those circumstances the only mission is to eliminate all combatants.

Sometimes the player may instead come across a squad of Accord Soldiers who are under attack by a hostile force (which may be Bandits or Chosen depending on the location), and the player must assist the Accord soldiers in neutralizing their opposition. Other than the NPCs involved, there is no difference between the two different Crossfire variants, and when they spawn they will be marked on the global map for anyone within range.


To start with, when a Crossfire encounter is completed, the player will receive rewards as normal for completing a wandering encounter. Additionally, there are two achievements associated with this event. The first is a daily achievement that is unlocked by completing the Crossfire encounter three times in a day. The second is a longer term achievement that is unlocked by completing the daily achievement 12 times (out of a possible 17 days).
