The crafting components created from raw biomaterials can be used to manufacture new equipment or can be sold on the market for credits. Raw Biomaterials are refined into crafting components at the Molecular Printer. There is a 1:1 refining ratio from raw biomaterial to crafting component. Example: 20 Bone Fragments = 20 Carbon Powder
Biomaterial comes in different rarities and tiers, depending on the exact area and zone where creatures drop it.
Drops by Region
Coral Forest is the best place to find Tier 1 and Tier 2 biomaterials.
|Biomaterial||Icon||Dropped by||Tier||Description||Crafting Component Created|
|Shell Fragment||Creatures level 1 - 20||Tier 1||Unrefined chitious material|| |
|Melded Chitin Fragments||Chosen and some melding creatures||Tier 1||Retrieved from Chosen remains|| |
|Bone Fragments||Creatures level 20 - 29||Tier 2||Bones and other carbon-based materials|| |
|Melded Blood Sample||Chosen and some melding creatures||Tier 2||Retrieved from Chosen remains|| |
The biomaterials found in Sertao are the same as in the Coral forest with the addition of Tier 3 biomaterials
Devil's Tusk has all of the same biomaterials as Coral Forest and Sertao, but with the addition of Tier 4 biomaterials.
Certain creatures drop special components for equipment. These Optional Biomaterials are not refineable and are not dropped as frequently as the regular biomaterials. Recipe Unlocks from certain Vendors will require these optional components for Manufacturing. Example: The Barrier HMG for the Dreadnaught requires Brontodon Ivory in its recipe.
